IT infrastructure forum to explore outcomes

The cloud is being embraced by large organisations as an answer to heightened agility and a tool to facilitate the conditions required for greater innovation levels. In the digital age, it has never been more important to make and implement the right technology decisions. The critical question is how the cloud can be best deployed to meet organisational needs.

Which cloud service provider and service works best? Why choose a hybrid cloud? How best to ensure visibility with usage metrics? What methods can be used to tap scalability and cost efficiencies, and how should virtualisation be managed?

These questions are just a few to explore when understanding how to deploy and optimise a cloud service that facilitates organisational goals.

The best way to understand how technologies combine to achieve different outcomes, and what these outcomes are, is to learn from the experiences of others. Real-life case studies of chosen technology mixes and journeys undertaken can provide valuable insight into how these technologies might perform.

The Future IT Infrastructure Forum, taking place in Melbourne in late August, provides an opportunity to gain insights into what other organisations are doing to maximise their outcomes and achieve enhanced levels of agility and innovation across the organisation, while simultaneously reducing costs. Through a collection of prominent case study examples, the event will cover key themes such as building the right technology mix, maximising a hybrid cloud, utilising containers and achieving IT as a Service.

With key learnings being delivered by Patrick Maes, chief technology officer for ANZ, James Kavanagh, chief technology officer for Microsoft and Andrew Clark, vice president of Asia Pacific and global solution architect for Moven, the forum is an opportunity to learn from others.

An organisation’s long-term success is contingent on its ability to identify, implement and leverage a technology mix that complements IT infrastructure components, supports operations and enables innovation and agility across all levels of the organisation.
