GIS Cloud Publisher for QGIS

Spatial Vision has introduced the GIS Cloud plug-in for QGIS, a free open source tool that will benefit the spatial community and allow for seamless access to facilities provided by GIS Cloud.

Suitable for all workflows, this plug-in is capable of uploading all raster and vector datasets compatible with GIS Cloud, enabling the QGIS user community access to the cloud’s mobile data collection, data visualisation, data sharing, data viewing and fleet management services. It also offers flexibility to existing cloud users to utilise the power of the QGIS open source environment.

GIS Cloud software provides online mapping, hosting solutions and tools for mobile data collection. Within a QGIS project the user will have the ability to select any spatial data layer and upload this directly into their account. The tool will upload one or more GIS Cloud compatible layers into a named folder in the user’s online file manager. The user will then also have an option of creating an additional GIS Cloud map project and adding these newly uploaded layers.
