Modelling UC tool

NEC Australia has launched an in-depth modelling tool designed to quantify the expected ROI for unified communications deployments. Using the tool, NEC found that the typical business in Australia can expect to save about $100,000 in one year, with a payback period of just six months.

The ROI calculator is a free downloadable tool that models an entire business based on a series of detailed questions taking into account factors such as business size and industry, work habits, pay rates, telephony and IT infrastructure. NEC’s UC calculator is designed to be CFO friendly, delivering a range of ROI measures including: payback period, ROI ratio, net present value and internal rate of return.

NEC developed the calculator to help address the biggest barrier to UC adoption — a perceived lack of ROI.
