Available to rent, the Anritsu CMA 4500 single- and multimode 35/25 dB optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) measures fibre length and tests for fibre faults and optical return loss.

The instrument offers a construction mode, eliminating time-consuming, repetitive tasks such as parameter selection, analysing and file saving. The wizard quickly guides the user through the necessary steps before managing the entire testing operation, leaving the user to simply connect the next fibre requested by the tester.

To quickly identify faults, a fault locate mode provides fault details, span loss and the prior event within seconds of connecting the fibre and pressing the fault locate button.

Features include: singlemode wavelengths 1310/1550 (35 dB) SC/APC port; multimode wavelengths 850/1300 nm (24/26 dB) SC/PC port; ethernet, USB connectivity, 20 GB HD and PS2 ports; touch screen and hard key interfaces.
