MuleSoft chosen for child protection project
The NSW Department of Family & Community Services has contracted MuleSoft to help support the delivery of the new ChildStory project, a $100 million upheaval of the state’s child protection IT infrastructure.
The ChildStory IT platform will replace a number of existing IT systems with an integrated platform connecting applications, data and devices.
It will be designed to build a network of family, carers, case workers and service providers that will use the platform to work collaboratively in real time to keep children safe.
MuleSoft will provide its Anypoint Platform for the project, which is designed to create an API-led application network of apps, data and devices.
The platform will enable the department to connect multiple government systems to provide real-time information to mobile case workers, police, education and health departments.
“ChildStory is a great opportunity to provide children, families, case workers and our partners with tools that help us to work together and to gather the stories of children who are vulnerable and need child protection services,” ChildStory program director Lisa Alsonso Love said.
“To deliver ChildStory we have chosen technology partners who have demonstrated that they understood the challenge and had the right technology to support child protection in NSW.”
