ACT Health sets terms for data and reporting review
ACT Health has established the terms of reference for a comprehensive review of data and performance reporting processes in the territory’s health services system.
The health ministry is setting up a review panel to oversee the system-wide review, which will meet regularly and provide periodic updates on the progress of the review.
The panel will consist of the ACT Health CIO, ACT Health Chief of Clinical Operations, the Shared Services ICT CTO, the CEO of the National Health Funding Body and the senior executive for hospitals, resourcing and classifications for the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.
“Since I announced the system-wide review last month, I have written to key health stakeholders about the review and today I have tabled the Terms of Reference for the review, which will be undertaken in a timely, transparent and effective manner,” ACT Minister for Health Meegan Fitzharris said yesterday.
“This review will take us back to basics when it comes to the collection, analysis and reporting of our health data. As Health Minister I want to ensure that we not only have a high-quality health system that Canberrans trust, but also that we have the right data available to us to monitor and track our performance.”
