Digital health forums plan for future

Those involved in the industry are invited to participate in the Australian Digital Health Agency’s two forums on the future of digital health in Australia.

The findings from the national consultation will be used to develop a national digital health strategy for delivery to the federal government in 2017. 

Medical software vendors, entrepreneurs and technology companies are well placed to help provide an understanding of what the community wants from a modern healthcare system. It will be possible to offer comment as to how Australia might best take advantage of the opportunities that new technologies offer to improve health and care.   

The two forums will be held in Sydney and Brisbane, with details as follows: 

Date: Tuesday, 29 November 2016
Time: 12 noon–2 pm AEDT
Location: Sydney Masonic Centre Conference and Function Centre (Banquet Hall), 66 Goulburn Street, Sydney
Speakers: Associate Professor Meredith Makeham, chief medical adviser and Bettina McMahon, executive general manager government and industry collaboration

Date: Wednesday, 30 November 2016
Time: 12 noon–2 pm AEST
Location: Queensland University of Technology, Garden Point Campus (Room Three Sixty), 2 George Street, Brisbane, Queensland
Speakers: Dr Monica Trujillo, executive general manager for clinical and consumer engagement and Bettina McMahon, executive general manager, government and industry collaboration
