Rosetta to manage digital assets at State Library Victoria
State Library Victoria will implement the Ex Libris Rosetta digital preservation system to manage its digital resources.
The system will integrate with the library’s other core systems and provide a smooth migration pathway.
“The State Library has always been about providing the greatest number of people with free, open access to information,” said Kate Torney, State Library Victoria CEO.
“Our transition to Rosetta is the next step in making our collections available in a broad and meaningful way.”
It will allow the library to provide intuitive, powerful digital interfaces for current and future users, enabling the development of new players according to the library’s needs.
“The library’s digitised and born-digital collections play a central role in putting people at the heart of its offering and removing barriers to access,” said Sarah Slade, head of Digital Engagement and Collection Services at State Library Victoria.
“Rosetta will be a crucial part of an integrated offering enabling all library patrons to discover, access and use the library’s growing digital collection now and in the future.”
