BitCloud business continuity and disaster recovery solutions updated

Tuesday, 19 July, 2011

BitCloud has updated its range of business continuity and disaster recovery solutions that can be used to provide complete IT system redundancy and failover.

With the service, users can achieve complete redundancy of their IT systems and data, and, in case of a disaster, switch all or part of their operations into the cloud within minutes. The service is tailored for organisations with up to 200 seats across a range of industries, including financial services, retailing, logistics/distribution and professional services.

Key features of the service include: additional firewalls that further protect each node in the cloud, and networking and software settings that monitor and protect each server instance within each node, both from external attacks as well as internal attacks; aims to exceed 99.9% network and server uptime with internet connectivity guaranteed through at least three separate providers, handled by a highly advanced grid of fully redundant Cisco routers; all hardware is housed in Australian data centres and all users receive local technical support.
