Constellation.2 is claimed to be the first 2.5” enterprise-class hard drive to reach a 1 TB capacity. Designed for server storage applications, it provides 6 Gbps performance, good data integrity and low power consumption.

Designed for system builders and OEMs, it can be used in a range of applications in directed attached storage (DAS), network attached storage (NAS) and storage area network (SAN) environments, from small-to-midsized businesses to the largest enterprise data centres storing and hosting data to the cloud.

Available in 250 GB, 500 GB and 1 TB, and with 6 Gbps SATA or 6 Gbps SAS interface options, its second-generation design offers T10 protection information standard and 1.4 million hours MTBF. With a self-encrypting drive (SED) option, data security is covered throughout the entire drive life cycle. The family fits within the Seagate unified storage architecture.
