Tandberg Data RDX QuikStor removable storage system

Wednesday, 24 February, 2010

The capacity of the RDX QuikStor removable storage system has been expanded to include a 640 GB cartridge, claimed to be the largest in its class, allowing users with larger data sets to simplify media management and reduce cartridge swap time.

The disk-based system, with portable cartridges, allows reliable and convenient backup, suitable for the SMB market. It combines the benefits of tape with the performance, speed, random access and ease of use of hard-disk technology.

The company also has 80, 160, 320 and 500 GB removable cartridges, built to last more than 10 years with normal use.

With its native 45 MBps transfer rate, the RDX QuikStor allows users to access any file in milliseconds while cutting the backup window from hours to minutes.
