The Verbatim Store ’n’ Go portable hard drive allows users to add storage to their computers or store and carry their digital and day-to-day working files on a mobile drive, which easily plugs in without the need to be powered externally to operate.

The hard drive uses a USB 3.0 Super Speed interface, which offers up to 10 times faster data transfer rates than USB 2.0 (based on USB bus speed). Users can easily drag and drop files to the hard drive and can benefit from 1 TB storage capacity. It is also formatted in FAT32, which means it can be used on Windows OS and Mac OS systems.

The product comes with Green Button energy-saving software, which suspends the hard drive from spinning while not in use, thereby increasing efficiency and saving energy. There are three Sleep Setting options; users can set the suspend mode to come in after 10 minutes of use, or by increments of 10 minutes (up to 120 minutes). Users can also set the drive to suspend immediately by double clicking the Green Button icon on the desktop, or alternatively set the drive to ‘Never Suspend the disk’.

Nero Backup software is provided for added security to manage backup from computer to the drive. This software is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8; however, it is not compatible with Mac OS. Weighing 158 g, the product is available in silver or black and comes with a two-year limited warranty.
