Verbatim mobile hard drive
The Mobile Hard Drive is a portable 2.5″ hard drive, available in 320 and 500 GB capacities.
The drive features USB turbo speed, which is claimed to increase transfer speeds by up to 25% (480 Mbps max) via the USB 2.0 interface. TurboUSB creates a quality of service to allow USB devices to work more efficiently, changing the USB protocol from single task to multi task. Data packet size is increased, which reduces the USB overhead.
It is available in ‘piano black casing’, weighs 140 g and measures 11.5 x 7.6 x 1.2 cm. It is USB 2.0 bus powered (one USB 2.0 interface) and requires no external power for operation, simply plug and play.
The drive is compatible with the Windows 7, Vista and XP operating systems. An LED light on the front of the drive is illuminated when data is being transferred.
