Motorola ES400 Enterprise Digital Assistant

The Enterprise Mobility Solutions division of Motorola has added the ES400 Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) to its mobile computing portfolio. The ES400 integrates voice and data capabilities to provide mobile professionals with the information and interaction they need to transform operations, increase enterprise profitability and complete their jobs anywhere, anytime.

The EDA combines a sleek form factor with advanced performance - allowing mobile workforces to overcome productivity challenges and securely access business-critical applications on the go.

Built on the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 platform, the EDA enables workers in field service, field sales, retail, healthcare, transportation/distribution and small and medium-sized businesses to collect data and access business-critical applications and backend systems on the spot.

Features include: a customisable Motorola Enterprise User Interface (MEUI) that makes information and functions available with one-touch access - one-button push-to-scan facilitates 1D and 2D barcode reading; large, bright, 3″ VGA screen plus an integrated keyboard; dual 3.5 G broadband WAN connects flexibly to both GSM and CDMA networks; durably constructed to withstand dust, drops and bumps and meets MIL-STD 810G drop specifications leading to lower total cost of ownership; enterprise-class security including a built-in biometric fingerprint reader.
