Australian cyber firms show their solutions in the UK

Twelve Australian cybersecurity companies are showcasing their solutions and innovations in London this week, as part of the Australian British FinTech Cyber Catalyst.

The delegation — being led by Federal Minister for Law Enforcement and Cyber Security Angus Taylor — comprises more than 60 Australian cybersecurity and fintech industry leaders.

Those leaders will share best practice with their UK counterparts and seek to build long-term partnerships.

The delegation will engage with regulators, government representatives, investors, start-ups, scale-ups and buyers, as well as visit leading-edge facilities at Hartham Park and the ARK Data Centre.

“The relationship between the cybersecurity and fintech industries is emerging as an extremely important and strategic alliance globally,” Minister Taylor said.

The delegation has been organised by the Australian British Chamber of Commerce in partnership with AustCyber — the Australian Cyber Security Growth Network — which was established and funded by the federal government.

AustCyber CEO Michelle Price said the effort was sure to drive demand for Australian solutions.

“Delegates are exploring issues in regtech, payment, software and big data, all with an underlying theme of security,” Price said.

“The global cybersecurity market is projected to reach over US$251 billion by 2026, and initiatives such as the Australian British FinTech Cyber Catalyst ensure that Australian companies — and our economy — are positioned to benefit from this increased demand.”

The 12 Australian companies involved in the Australian British FinTech Cyber Catalyst are:

  • Aiculus
  • Airlock Digital
  • Aleron
  • Covata
  • CYDARM Technologies
  • Forticode
  • Huntsman Security
  • HyperIntel
  • Prophecy International
  • Randtronics
  • WithYouWithMe
  • Your Digital File
