Hewlett Packard Enterprise Hyper Converged 380 virtualisation solution

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has launched an all-in-one compute, software-defined storage and intelligent virtualisation appliance to help mid-sized and remote offices deploy virtual machines in minutes. Built on the HPE ProLiant DL380 server, the HPE Hyper Converged 380 (HC 380) enables organisations to transform to a hybrid infrastructure while simplifying IT operations and reducing overall costs.

The product’s User Experience (UX) management software offers a simple user experience that can be self-installed and managed on a desktop or mobile device. Users can provision, decommission and then recommission VMs, while built-in analytics and tools enable users to reduce VM sprawl and overprovisioning of VMs by 90%.

From the product’s single management pane, IT generalists can update firmware and drivers in only three clicks, without service interruption, reducing the potential for errors and increasing uptime. It is built on HPE StoreVirtual VSA enabling data mobility across systems and sites. Offering a two-node hyper-converged appliance, HPE enables customers to grow and scale-out to up to 16 nodes.
