Telogis Logbook driving app

Telogis has launched the Logbook app, which is designed to increase the productivity of mobile workforces.

With a quick swipe on the screen, users can electronically log whether the kilometres they have driven were business oriented or personal. The app is an extension of the Telogis Mobile Enterprise Management (MEM) software platform and was developed specifically for commercial drivers, mobile sales representatives and supervisors.

Built from the ground up and optimised to take advantage of iOS security features like Touch ID, the product simplifies authentication, tracking and distances travelled while meeting stringent tax regulations in specific countries, including Australia. The app enables drivers to view their recorded kilometres and classify their completed trips by business purpose. Full integration with vehicle telematics also ensures accurate and complete distance travelled records so organisations can gain more insight into their professional fleets. Through the platform, supervisors can identify classified kilometres, assign unclassified trips to individual drivers and generate personal-versus-business kilometres travelled summaries within detailed reports.

The app has been optimised for iOS devices including iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. The Australian Taxation Office has also approved the Telogis Logbook for use with mobile devices.
