Sony Vision Exchange collaboration system
The Sony Vision Exchange collaboration system is designed for education and corporate users. The system brings together students, lecturers and presenters in a dynamic workgroup-based environment that encourages creative discussion and knowledge exchange.
Suitable for universities, colleges of higher education and corporate conference rooms, the product suits a wide range of teaching spaces and meeting areas. Teams can brainstorm and work collaboratively, wirelessly sharing content from everyone’s laptop or tablet. It is just as easy to bring in participants to join the discussion by adding a video connection to remote locations.
Function is enhanced with the following paid licences: Active Learning (PEQA-C10), Remote Communication (PEQA-C20) and Streaming Output (PEQA-C30).
The Active Learning licence utilises a simple Pod PC structure and Pod PC software (PES-C10). It is easy to configure, scalable and capable of supporting up to 10 groups of BYOD.
Remote communication allows workgroups to connect with other sites using standards-based videoconference systems such as the SRG-120DU PTZ camera and PCS-A1 microphone. Participants can not only share content from their own devices (laptops, tablets and smartphones), but also annotations overlaid on images or whiteboard description in real time.
Utilising a separate recording server, the PEQA-C30 licence allows users to stream the discussion and lecture content displayed on the main shared screen to another location or device using either multicast or unicast with RTP (H.264/AAC). This allows the session to be recorded for future distribution or archiving purposes.
