SA Water revamping spend management platform

SA Water has gone live with Source-to-Contract operations based on the Ivalua spend management platform.

The water and sewerage services provider is rolling out a solution that includes Ivalua’s supplier risk and performance, sourcing and contract management modules. The deployment is expected to be complete by June.

SA Water provides its services to a catchment of more than 1.8 million South Australians, and manages more than $800 million of spend across the categories of goods, services and capital works. The utility operates more than $14 billion in assets.

With the project, SA Water aims to increase visibility and efficiency of its Source-to-Contract activities while delivering a streamlined and functional experience for suppliers, according to SA Water Senior Manager for Supply Chain Mike Gibbons.

“With Ivalua, we are seeking to maximise automation across our sourcing and contract management operations, increase the visibility of our supply chain activity, support compliance with complex regulatory requirements and government reporting, accelerate process cycle times, improve our employee value proposition, and enhance our collaboration and relationships with our suppliers,” he said.

“This solution will increase visibility and efficiency of SA Water’s Source-to-Contract activities, delivering a streamlined and functional experience for suppliers. A strong collaboration between SA Water, KPMG and Ivalua has enabled a successful on-time deployment,” added Samantha Durban from KPMG, Ivalua’s implementation partner.

Invalua develops cloud-based, AI-powered spend management software capable of allowing businesses to effectively manage all categories of spend and all of the organisation’s suppliers.
