Geraldton council deploying process management suite
Western Australia’s City of Greater Geraldton council has deployed cloud-based process management software from Promapp to support its efforts to improve business and governance processes.
The council plans to complete the Promapp deployment later this year, and will use the platform to create and store business processes in the cloud.
Staff will have a consistent way of following and creating processes for repetitive tasks, while contact centre staff will have direct access to consistent information from across the council, allowing for the provision of a superior customer experience.
The council also plans to use the Promapp Risk Module to help better identify risks based directly on actual activities within processes. Risks will be included in the same dashboards used by process owners to manage their processes.
The council will also use Promapp’s Local Government Shared Process Library to help share knowledge and experiences with other councils around Australia.
The library already includes over 1000 processes developed by councils covering activities including wastewater management, building and resource consents and environmental monitoring.
“Once Promapp is fully deployed during the course of the next 12 months, it will underpin our capacity to achieve efficient, consistent process and provide transparency across the organisation,” City of Greater Geraldton CEO Ken Diehm said.
“Ultimately, Promapp will enable us to support our strategic aim to be a leading organisation that works in partnership with the community, industry and government to plan and provide quality services and infrastructure in a sustainable environment.”
