Loud&Clear partners with Swinburne R&D lab
Digital creative agency Loud&Clear has made a formal partnership with the Swinburne University of Technology R&D department, following the launch of the university’s new software innovation lab.
The NICTA Swinburne Software Innovation Lab, opened last week by the Hon Ted Baillieu MP, will bring together NICTA’s (National ICT Australia’s) ICT research capabilities and the university’s industry-focused software development skills. The lab will house R&D staff and PhD and project students, with skill sets covering software engineering, mobile and cloud computing, information visualisation and software security.
Loud&Clear, in conjunction with Swinburne University, aims to bring to market solutions that will not only challenge and reshape the ideas of Australian developers but also redefine global software innovation. Loud&Clear Managing Director Cade Witnish noted, “As the government looks to software as the future of the Victorian economy, there are greater opportunities for commercial companies such as ours to generate closer ties with Swinburne’s R&D facilities and collaboratively evolve software innovation.”
Swinburne University Deputy Head R&D Software Group Dr Rajesh Vasa said, “We now have the backing of 800+ researchers following the launch of the NICTA lab network and a number of good links into various organisations. Loud&Clear are in a great position to do more work with the Swinburne team.”
