Optus Business to manage Suncorp's ICT
Optus Business has secured a seven-year managed services deal with financial services company Suncorp.
The deal will see Optus Business take responsibility for managing Suncorp’s ICT services across its business, including voice, contact centre, data network and transaction services.
Suncorp will transition its ICT services to Optus’s control over the next two years. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
“The new agreement will provide Suncorp with the flexibility to focus on customer experience advancements and drive strategy, innovation and business growth, whilst Optus manage Suncorp’s mission-critical network services and ICT environment,” Optus Business Managing Director John Paitaridis said.
“We are delighted to secure this new managed services agreement with Suncorp and look forward to the contribution we can make to their business over the next seven years.”
Suncorp provides finance, insurance and banking services in Australia and New Zealand.
In October, Optus Business announced it had teamed up with FireEye to offer managed security and defence services to APAC firms.
