11:11 Systems buys Digital Sense
Managed infrastructure solutions provider 11:11 Systems has acquired Brisbane-based cloud and managed services provider Digital Sense from previous owner Aussie Broadband.
The acquisition, 11:11’s tenth purchase over the past several years, will be used to strengthen the company's cloud services portfolio and customer base.
Digital Sense provides solutions including data protection, managed cloud and storage services, and co-location services, with a focus on the VMware ecosystem.
Digital Sense was founded in 2006, opened its first data centre in 2008 and signed its first cloud customer in 2009. The company was acquired by Aussie Broadband in 2022, but changes by Broadcom reducing the number of authorised VMware partners, coupled with Aussie Broadband's decision to focus on the telecom segment rather than the broader technology market, led to the decision to divest the business.
11:11 has been acquiring multiple VMware-based businesses in recent years, including iland Cloud, Green Cloud Defense, Unitas Global, Sungard Availability Services, Faction and Ntirety.
According to 11:11 Systems CEO Brett Diamond, Digital Sense is a natural fit.
“Digital Sense has earned a standout reputation across Australia for delivering high-performance cloud solutions, and we’re excited to welcome their customers to 11:11’s resilient cloud platform — providing the stability they need today and the innovation to keep moving forward,” he said.
11:11 already provides a range of cloud, connectivity, backup, cyber and disaster recovery and security solutions to its customer base, and plans to use the acquisition to build on these offerings.
