ACCC seeks public comment on revised Telstra separation
The ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) is seeking public comment on the revised structural separation undertaking submitted by Telstra on 9 December.
The commission today released a discussion paper on the separation.
Specifically, the ACCC is looking for submissions on “the appropriateness and effectiveness of the interim equivalence and transparency measures, and the monitoring of compliance measures in Telstra’s revised undertaking”.
Interested parties have until 5 pm on Friday 13 January 2012 to make submissions to the commission.
The ACCC said it will not make a draft decision prior to making its final decision on the undertaking. This final decision is expected to be made in February 2012.
The discussion paper on the structural separation is available on the ACCC’s website.
