Data#3 renews Microsoft certifications, advanced specialisations

Australian technology services and solutions provider Data#3 has renewed its Microsoft Azure Expert Managed Services Provider (MSP) certification and Windows & SQL Server Migration to Azure Advanced Specialisation, while also attaining the Windows Virtual Desktop Advanced Specialisation. A Microsoft global initiative, the Azure Expert MSP certification highlights the most capable Azure Managed Service Providers; Data#3 is one of over 100 partners globally to hold this accreditation. This first reaudit for Data#3 included a rigorous review and covered new requirements for governance, which tied to its strengths as a full-service managed service provider. The reaudit pass extends Data#3’s certification for another 12 months.

Data#3 Executive General Manager, Brad Colledge, said the renewal of this certification is a tribute to the significant investment the company has placed in its people and cloud solutions. “Microsoft is a leader in public cloud and Data#3 is on that same trajectory. As Microsoft’s largest Australian partner, Data#3 maintains the public cloud market leadership nationally. Our role is to help our customers to migrate successfully to cloud in order to achieve their objectives,” Colledge said.

Data#3’s attainment of the Windows Virtual Desktop Advanced Specialisation showcases partners who demonstrate deep knowledge, extensive experience and proven success in deploying, optimising and securing virtual desktop infrastructure on Azure with Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD). The Advanced Specialisation audit process involves demonstrated customer success, numerous individual certification achievements and an in-depth audit. Data#3 is Microsoft’s only Australian partner to hold the Azure Expert MSP certification, the Advanced Specialisation in Windows Server, SQL Server Azure Migration and Windows Virtual Desktop, and to partner with Microsoft Services for their Azure Modernisation Factory.

Data#3 National Practice Manager for Microsoft Scott Gosling noted that these certifications and advanced specialisations reinforce the strength of Data3#’s relationship with Microsoft and its expertise in delivering innovative Microsoft solutions. “We are continually striving to maintain our leadership, and as such, we are already working on achieving further certifications and specialisations. We look forward to working with more customers to deliver true business value,” Gosling said.

A Gold Certified Partner, the Data#3 and Microsoft relationship was established in 1994. Microsoft Gold Certified Partners are business partners that demonstrate an ongoing commitment to the highest levels of technical skills and customer endorsements. The company also holds 16 Gold Microsoft Competencies; competency attainment requires demonstration and verification of best-in-class capability within a Microsoft solution area.
