Independent Reserve intros Paypal Wallet

Australian digital currency exchange sites Independent Reserve and Bitcoin.com.au have become the first local cryptocurrency exchanges to integrate with PayPal for easier deposits and withdrawals.

The exchanges, which are both operated by Independent Reserve, have announced integration with the PayPal wallet to support card processing and withdrawals.

The integration will enable customers to load funds into the exchange using a funding source supported by the PayPal wallet, and to withdraw funds directly into their wallet from the exchanges.

Independent Reserve CEO Adrian Przelozny said the collaboration with PayPal supports the company’s mission statement.

“Our aim is to enable easy and secure access to the cryptocurrency market for a broad range of investors. Adding PayPal as an option for deposits, as well as card processing via the PayPal platform, is a tremendous leap towards making crypto a mainstream asset,” he said.

Research suggests that around 10% of Australians own some form of cryptocurrency.
