NTT Data forms cloud and AI partnership with AWS
Business and technology services company NTT Data has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with AWS aimed at accelerating adoption of enterprise cloud and agentic AI services.
Under the agreement, the companies will seek to accelerate the migration and modernisation of on-premises workloads on AWS by leveraging generative and agentic AI, automation and data platforms to unlock new business models. The partnership is also aimed at developing industry-specific cloud solutions for various sectors including financial services, life sciences, public sector, manufacturing, retail and energy based on NTT Data’s Industry Cloud platform.
Examples include solutions aimed at modernising core banking and compliance workloads in the financial sector, and secure, AI-enabled data platforms for the healthcare and life sciences sector.
Meanwhile the companies will aim to develop sovereign and regulated cloud solutions for European companies on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, and modernise contact centre solutions offered through Amazon Connect. AWS and NTT Data will also collaborate on running co-innovation programs, certifications and client events aimed at helping enterprises adopt AI-driven cloud solutions.
To support the partnership, NTT Data has formed a dedicated AWS Business Group that includes close to 11,000 AWS-certified experts, and aims to certify nearly 10,000 more experts over the next three years.
NTT Data President and CEO Abhijit Dubey said the collaboration reflects the companies’ shared belief that cloud and AI are central to enterprise transformation.
“Through our Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS, we are helping clients move beyond experimentation to scale AI impactfully and responsibly,” he said. “This collaboration underscores our commitment to deliver secure, industry-specific solutions that create tangible business value for our clients worldwide."
AWS VP for Global Sales Greg Pearson added that the initiative “will help more enterprise organisations unlock the potential of the cloud and AI to modernise their operations and accelerate innovation.”
