Snowflake launches raft of new AI products
AI data cloud company Snowflake has unveiled a suite of new product innovations aimed at helping enterprises embrace the power of AI.
At its annual user conference Snowflake Summit 2025, the company unveiled new solutions including Snowflake Openflow, a multi-modal data integration service designed to unify various types of data and formats to ensure they are accessible from any data architecture. The platform uses open standards and Apache NiFi to automate the flow of data between systems, and boasts hundreds of ready to use connectors to accelerate data integration from a wide range of sources.
Meanwhile Snowflake Adaptive Compute is designed to lower the burden of resource management by maximising efficiency through automatic resource sizing and sharing, while Cortex AISQL brings generative AI queries directly to users’ query engines.
Snowflake also announced enhancements to its existing products including a new addition to the Snowflake Cortex AI suite of enterprise-grade AI capabilities named SnowConvert AI, which is said to accelerate migrations from legacy platforms, as well as the second generation of the company’s Standard Warehouse virtualised data infrastructure product.
Snowflake SVP for ANZ and ASEAN Theo Hourmouzis said the announcements demonstrate the rapid pace of innovation at the company.
“Organisations across Australia and New Zealand are looking to take their AI projects to the next level — from testing, to production, to ultimately providing business value,” he said. “Today’s innovations are focused on providing them with the easiest, most connected, and most trusted data platform to do so.”
