Willyama joins Airbus's Team Maier
Indigenous and veteran-owned professional services company Willyama has joined Team Maier, the group formed by Airbus to bid for the Defence Joint Project 9102 tender for a sovereign military satellite communications capability.
Willyama provides services including classified networking planning, end-to-end cybersecurity, hardware and software procurement. The addition of Willyama to Team Maier will provide Secret and Top Secret security accreditation for the bid team.
Under the arrangement, Willyama will also provide advice on the risk management strategy, system architecture and security controls proposed within the bid.
Willyama Director Kieran Hynes said the company is proud to have been selected as the security accreditation partner for the bid. “It’s a unique opportunity to be part of something that will be integral to the sovereign space landscape for years to come and we’re pleased to use our extensive capabilities to contribute to the success of Team Maier,” he said.
Team Maier also currently consists of engineering and facilities provider UGL, satellite technology manufacturer Blacktree Technology, network infrastructure provider Clearbox Systems and Microsoft.
As well as providing a sovereign military satcom capability, the JP9102 project aims to stimulate the development of Australia’s space supply chain and its rapidly growing commercial space sector.
