Women in AI Awards postponed due to snap lockdowns
The Australia and New Zealand Women in AI Awards Gala Dinner has been postponed to Friday, 26 March 2021, due to the current and evolving challenges presented by the coronavirus pandemic. The snap lockdowns in Melbourne and New Zealand, along with other travel and quarantine restrictions, spurred the decision to postpone the event.
In a statement to the public, Andra Müller, Director of Jewelrock, stressed that nothing is more important than health and safety, and extended her gratitude for all the ongoing support for the awards.
“Our valued partners and all our key stakeholders fully support this decision to postpone. We all believe it is the right and responsible thing to do. This event has received amazing backing from the event partners, the entrants, finalists, advisory group, judges and the AI community, and we look forward to hosting this event to fruition in the very near future,” said Müller.
