Commvault partners with Crowdstrike
Data protection company Commvault has teamed up with CrowdStrike to help enterprises improve cyber readiness in the face of rapidly evolving cyberthreats.
Under the partnership, Commvault has integrated its cloud platform with the AI-native CrowdStrike Falcon security suite to provide layered threat detection and rapid data recovery. With the integration, when CrowdStrike prevents a malware attack or suspicious event, administrators can view the alert directly from Commvault Cloud and rapidly restore affected data to the last known-good state.
The integration is intended to enable more effective collaboration between security and IT operations teams, enhancing joint customers’ response and recovery processes. By reducing response times and downtime, the joint solution is said to help enterprises maintain critical operations even during sophisticated attacks.
Commvault Chief Partner Officer Alan Atkinson said the collaboration forms part of the company’s commitment to proactively addressing the security needs of modern enterprises.
“The average organisation has seen eight cyber incidents in the last year, four of which are considered major. At Commvault, we are committed to empowering businesses with the tools they need to not only safeguard their data but to enhance their overall cyber resilience,” he said. “By partnering with CrowdStrike, we are combining our deep expertise in cyber resilience with their advanced threat detection capabilities, empowering our joint customers with faster response times and a stronger cyber resilience posture.”
The collaboration adds to Commvault’s growing ecosystem of security partners, which also includes Acante, Avira, Cisco, CyberArk, Darktrace, Dasera, Databricks, Entrust, Google Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Netskope, Palo Alto Networks, Splunk, Trellix and Wiz.
