FirstWave touts the benefits of cloud-based security
A new wave of cyber attacks targeting businesses with onsite cybersecurity systems highlights the risks of insecure customer premises equipment (CPE), according to Australia’s FirstWave Cloud Technology.
The company has been able to maintain its 100% success rate of defending against cyber attacks, in contrast to the recent spike in attacks on CPE, according to CEO Danny Maher. He said this demonstrates the importance of cloud-based security platforms.
Maher said FirstWave’s Cloud Content Security Platform takes advantage of the elasticity, scalability and resilience inherent in cloud architectures.
“As a result, our clients enjoy the peace of mind that comes with uncompromised security, free from the vulnerabilities that recently affected Barracuda Networks and other companies,” he said.
“FirstWave’s frictionless security approach allows us to protect our clients against advanced persistent threats, zero-day attacks, ransomware, phishing and other cyber threats, with a seamless integration process.”
Maher added that the company’s email security solution has been designed to offer proactive protection, 24/7 support and easy implementation without the need for onsite hardware and software.
The cloud-based solution also helps businesses maintain compliance with privacy and security regulations, and is a core aspect of FirstWave partner Telstra’s security portfolio. It is available from FirstWave or through the company’s network of channel partners.
