Mimecast expands email security solution to A/NZ
UK-based email and collaboration security company Mimecast has expanded its Email Security Cloud Integrated solution to Australia, New Zealand and other new markets.
The integrated, gateway-less solution has been designed to optimise protection for Microsoft 365 environments, and the company says it can typically be deployed in less than five minutes.
Since launching in the US and UK in November, the solution has discovered that for every 1 million emails Microsoft 365 delivered, 24,500 on average are untrustworthy or contain malware or phishing attacks.
Mimecast has recently upgraded the solution to allow customers to purchase the recently released Protection for Microsoft Teams, which enables organisations to protect their users and data across the hybrid attack surface, as well as Mimecast Awareness Training and the company’s data protection and recovery solution Sync & Recover.
Mimecast Chief Technology & Product Officer David Raissipour said the product was developed based on data produced by the company, which indicates that Microsoft 365 alone is not sufficient to provide organisations with protection from cyber threats.
“Backed by nearly two decades of email security expertise and a rich history of innovation, Mimecast is uniquely positioned to offer a flexible, gateway-less solution that helps organisations proactively enhance their security posture,” he said.
As well as launching in Australia and New Zealand, the solution is now also available in Canada, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and most of the countries in the EU.
