Palo Alto unveils Prisma SASE 4.0

Palo Alto Networks has unveiled a new AI-driven Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution aimed at protecting enterprises in the AI area.

The Prisma SASE 4.0 solution contains a dedicated browser designed to neutralise web threats in real time within the browser by intercepting and neutralising encrypted, evasive attacks.

Other new capabilities include AI-augmented data classification tools capable of protecting agents against the growing risk posed by AI agents, copilots and plugins that directly access corporate data, as well as Private App Security, which can automatically adapt to shield essential applications such as web application firewalls.

Palo Alto Networks EVP of Network Security Anand Oswal said integrated security tools are essential for meeting the dual goals of blocking threats while enabling growth.

“The conversation with business leaders has evolved. It’s no longer just about blocking threats-it's about enabling growth. You can’t achieve that with a complex and disjointed security stack,” he said. “The innovations in Prisma SASE 4.0, particularly our last-mile protections in the browser, are a direct response to the digital landscape, where AI-driven attacks and the widespread adoption of AI tools are making traditional security approaches obsolete.

“By neutralising sophisticated threats that evade legacy solutions and directly target the browser, we are setting a new standard for security.”

The Prisma SASE 4.0 suite will be generally available later this year.
