Check Point cloud-based software blades

Tuesday, 17 January, 2012

Check Point Software Technologies’ security gateways are available through Amazon Web Services. Organisations can apply the same level of security and control to their public cloud network as they have to their traditional networks, extending their security to the cloud with over 30 software blade protections, including firewall, IPS, virtual private network (VPN), application control, URL filtering, mobile access and data loss prevention (DLP).

Customers can select and deploy a Check Point virtual appliance - a security gateway for virtual environments - through Amazon Web Services to begin enabling software blades in the cloud.

Businesses such as online retailers or educational institutions can leverage the Amazon Cloud to run production workloads and manage seasonal peaks in web traffic and customer orders, while the Check Point virtual appliance further reinforces protection in the cloud infrastructure - ensuring all data and channels of business communication remain secure.

Unified management and reporting allows customers to easily manage their virtual appliance in Amazon Cloud using security management which offers simplified compliance and audits with unified logs and reporting across the organisation.
