Pacen SafeStick secure USB flash drive

Friday, 26 March, 2010

SafeStick is a secure USB flash drive, designed to provide automatic data protection in the case of loss or theft.

With in-built military-grade security technologies, the flash drive’s memory keys are easy to use for employees and automatically handle authentication tasks and data protection.

The flash drives are remotely managed using SafeConsole, with centralised data backup and data auditing as an option. When a flash drive is lost, security administrators have multiple options, including disabling, marking it as lost or issuing a ‘kill’ order. Lost drives automatically prevent all information access, bringing up a ‘return to owner’ screen. The drives can be configured to automatically assume they are lost if they are not plugged into a specific computer and authenticated to SafeConsole within a preconfigured time frame.

Administrators can choose to ‘kill’ a drive at any point, which wipes all data as soon as the SafeStick is plugged in to any computer with an internet connection. Sophisticated password policies can be enforced, including restricting passwords to a specific number of unlocks.
