StorageCraft ShadowProtect 3.5 backup for failing hard drives

Wednesday, 25 November, 2009

StorageCraft ShadowProtect 3.5 enables backup of failing hard drives so users can salvage as much data as possible. It allows a backup to continue even if some areas of the hard drive can no longer be read.

Users can set up the device to warn when a hard drive begins to fail and, along with Ignore Read Failures, other improved features include: email notification improving client administration services; management over backup commencement; management of Hardware Independent Restore features; and a Boot Configuration tool.

Several maintenance updates are incorporated into all editions including ShadowProtect Server Edition, ShadowProtect Desktop Edition, ShadowProtect Small Business Server Edition and ShadowProtect IT Edition.
