Tandberg Data DPS2000 NAS series disk system

Wednesday, 10 March, 2010

The Tandberg Data DPS2000 NAS series flexible disk system for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) is claimed to make file sharing and storage consolidation easy with its deduplication technology and cross-platform support for Windows, Macintosh and Unix/Linux.

When combined with AccuGuard, the company’s backup and recovery software featuring source-based deduplication, the series provides automated data protection, including simple cross-platform file sharing, consolidated iSCSI storage, improved backup and recovery capabilities and remote replication for off-site data storage and disaster recovery.

It allows SMBs to extend storage and share data on a single, cost-effective platform. It can be configured as a file server and/or an iSCSI target server providing simultaneous file-level access and block-level storage for maximum disk utilisation. Each file-level volume can be used for file sharing, disk-to-disk backup and IP video surveillance.

It is supplied with a single server version of AccuGuard software and comes in a desktop configuration with 4 TB or a 1U rack-mount configuration with either 4 or 8 TB.
