Friday, 14 May, 2010

D-Link has introduced the DWA-525 Wireless N 150 desktop adapter, allowing a desktop computer to cost-effectively connect to a wide range of wireless networks, including the latest high-speed 802.11n standard.

The adapter enables a computer to be connected to a high-speed internet connection while also having access to shared documents with other computers on the network. Backwards compatibility to wireless 802.11g/b networks is also enabled.

Compatible with the Windows 7 32- and 64-bit operating systems, the adapter uses wireless N 150 technology, offering up to a claimed four times faster speed and increased range over the 802.11g/b standard with a more reliable wireless connection.

The quick set-up wizard allows easy set-up. Wi-Fi protected set-up creates a secure wireless network connection, obviating the need for configuring complicated settings. To protect data and privacy, it supports WEP, WPA and WPA2 encryption, keeping network traffic secure.
