Epson has launched the TM-m30 compact receipt printer that can connect to any mobile device, ensuring it is suitable for tablet POS environments, such as hospitality and specialist retail outlets.

The product offers a print speed of up to 200 mm/s and can print 1D and 2D barcodes on paper with a width of up to 80 mm. The device comes in either black or white and can print receipts in multiple greyscales, with graphic and barcode printing capabilities that allow for customised layouts of receipts.

By touching an NFC-equipped mobile device or tablet to the printer, users can pair both together to print. ePOS print, the printer’s built-in intelligence that communicates with web applications, allows direct printing from mobile devices without the need to install or update drivers. It is available for iOS and Android.

The printer also features Ethernet, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi interfaces, while the product can be installed either horizontally or vertically, allowing for more flexibility when positioning the printer.  An optional tablet stand or wall-mount kit is also available.
