HTC Desire 825 smartphone

HTC has announced the HTC Desire 825, a stylish mid-range smartphone featuring a 5.5″, 720p display and a soft grip polycarbonate design with chromatic accent. Both the power button and speaker grills feature a contrasting colour that visually sets the device apart.

Available in Graphite Grey, the device also comes with the 24-bit, Hi-Res audio certified sound HTC BoomSound with Dolby Audio, which the company claims provides audio playback four times the audio detail compared to CD quality. The smartphone features a 13 MP main camera, allowing users to capture good quality images, as well as a 5 MP front-facing camera. BSI sensors improve low light performance and increase the amount of light captured when in dimmer environments. Ensuring the selfie trend continues, Auto Selfie and Voice Selfie modes have also been included.

For rich and vibrant videos, the camera shoots in 1080p resolution. To ensure users can store their captured images and audio, the device comes with Google Photos, allowing them to free up space with unlimited storage for up to 1080p videos, coupled with expandable storage up to 2 TB via microSD. The smartphone also features the HTC Sensor Hub which remains always switched on and records user activity, gestures and dynamic movement, providing real-time statistics that can be automatically linked to fitness tracking applications to promote user wellbeing.
