Lexmark CS800 and CX800 Series of printers and MFPs

Lexmark has launched its next-generation A4 colour lasers and smart MFPs with the CS800 Series Printers and CX800 Series MFPs. Models available include the CS820de colour laser printer and the CX825dte and CX860dte colour laser MFPs.

The CS820de features a 4.3″ colour touchscreen and is driven by a 1.33 GHz quad core processor with 1 GB of standard memory. It also offers professional colour features such as the 4800 Colour Quality, PANTONE calibration and spot colour replacement for repeatable colour accuracy. It has a standard input capacity of up to 650 pages (expandable to 4500), an optional inline staple finisher and can print on a range of materials from tissue-thin paper to thick card stock.

The CX825dte by comparison features a 10″ colour touchscreen and is driven by a 1.6 GHz quad core processor with 2 GB of standard memory. It can offer a print speed of up to 52 pages/min and contains a photoconductor unit that lasts up to around 175,000 pages. The product starts with 1200 dpi CCD-based scan quality for colour and information accuracy, then adds automatic size sensing and ultrasonic multifeed detection to ensure that every page intended for archiving or integration into a digital workflow is successfully scanned.

The CX860 offers the highest toner capacity, largest input/output capacity and the most flexible media support of any of Lexmark’s A4 colour laser MFPs. It is claimed to rival the capabilities of A3 products, allowing businesses to bring colour production in-house.
