Mitel Mobility for BlackBerry Mobile Voice System

Wednesday, 05 May, 2010

Mitel Mobility for BlackBerry Mobile Voice System allows a BlackBerry handset to become an extension of the user's IP PBX, providing a streamlined user interface for handling both inbound and outbound calls and allowing voice calls over Wi-Fi.

It provides employees with easy BlackBerry access to Mitel's unified communications applications. This allows users to dial colleagues using the organisation-wide directory, change call-handling settings for their extension, look at inbound and outbound call history for the extension and interactively look at presence information for all colleagues.

An optional BlackBerry application called Mitel UC Advanced Dynamic Location uses in-built BlackBerry GPS capabilities to automatically update presence information, allowing ‘out of office’ call handling settings to be enabled automatically as soon as an employee leaves the office.
