Sybase and Futitsu cloud-based managed mobility

Monday, 30 April, 2012

Sybase Australia and Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand have signed a partnership agreement for enterprise managed mobility solutions that will offer Australian and New Zealand customers a single managed platform for cloud-based managed mobile applications.

The new offering aims to provide customers with an innovative, easy-to-deploy, cloud-based mobility-as-a-service to consolidate their mobile assets, implement a mobile security policy, deploy all mobile applications and control costs.

Fujitsu’s cloud will provide the infrastructure and host mobile solutions powered by Sybase Managed Mobility technologies, offered on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) basis.

Sybase Managed Mobility is a device management platform that enables enterprises to integrate mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, with existing SAP applications as a service, providing speed-to-value with minimal set-up time and no infrastructure requirements.

Fujitsu Managed Mobility will enable productivity apps from SAP (available on the Apple app store and the Android marketplace) to integrate with SAP Business Suite software. Fujitsu will also offer integration services and custom development, as needed, for customers of the service.
