Commvault to offer cyber resilience solutions on Azure

Cybersecurity and data protection software company Commvault has partnered with Microsoft to provide AI and cyber resilience solutions over Microsoft Azure.

Under the agreement, Microsoft will offer Commvault’s solutions portfolio as a native independent software vendor (ISV) service on the cloud platform. This will give Azure customers the ability to provision and integrate its resilience capabilities directly from the Azure cloud environment.

The solutions will be targeted at banks, retailers, healthcare providers and other large enterprises under pressure to modernise their infrastructure, support AI-driven transformation and manage escalating cyber risks. Commvault’s native ISV service on Azure is expected to enter public preview shortly.

Commvault President and CEO Sanjay Mirchandani said the collaboration builds on the company’s existing 25-year partnership with Microsoft.

“Many of our customers rely on Microsoft Azure to scale their business in the cloud, use AI, optimise operations, and bring ideas to life. With this joint commitment, we can also make best‍-‍in‍-‍class resilience plug‍-‍and‍-‍play for Microsoft customers,” he said.

Microsoft President of Azure Core Girish Bablani added that customers rely on Azure as a resilient foundation for their cloud and AI workloads. “Supporting Commvault natively gives them more choice in how they protect and recover their data, with a more seamless experience inside Azure,” he said.
