CrowdStrike extends agreement with Google Cloud

Security company CrowdStrike has extended its real-time cloud detection and response capabilities to Google Cloud Platform as part of an expanded agreement between the companies.

The solution aims to detect and stop cloud-based attacks as soon as they begin, by making use of a real-time detection engine that can analyse cloud activity as it happens and detecting any anomalous activity, rather than relying on log batch processing.

CrowdStrike has also extended its Falcon platform to regional Google Cloud infrastructure to enable organisations to adopt the AI-native platform while maintaining compliance with operational and data sovereignty regulations and policies. Multinationals can ensure that data is processed and acted on within regional environments.

CrowdStrike Chief Business Officer Daniel Bernard said today’s threat environment has ensured that every second counts during an attack, as adversaries can move from access to exfiltration within minutes.

“CrowdStrike’s cloud security leadership is built on our ability to operate at runtime at scale. Extending CrowdStrike CDR to one of the world’s largest cloud platforms gives more organisations the speed and precision to stop cloud attacks the moment they begin,” he said.

Google Cloud Director of Security and Identity Partnerships Vineet Bhan added that the agreement forms part of Google Cloud’s commitment to an open security ecosystem.

“By expanding our collaboration with CrowdStrike, customers have access to the best solutions for their unique needs,” he said.

CrowdStrike has also this week been named the 2026 Google Cloud Security Partner of the Year for Infrastructure Protection for the second consecutive year.
