Hitachi Vantara introduces new SLA guarantees
Hitachi Vantara has introduced new capabilities to its Virtual Storage Platform One solution promising improved performance, cyber resilience and sustainability.
The new service level agreement-driven guarantees aim to provide enterprises with the ability to streamline operations, recover quickly from cyberthreats and reduce environmental impact.
The performance guarantee ensures applications run at predictable, high-performance levels with minimal intervention, with service credits made available if performance targets aren’t met.
The cyber resilience guarantee helps organisations mitigate downtime and data loss by taking advantage of immutable snapshots, as well as AI-driven ransomware detection the CyberSense solution from Index Engines.
Finally, the sustainability guarantee helps businesses optimise energy consumption, promising carbon emission reductions of up to 40% as well as improved cost efficiency.
The new guarantees complement existing guarantees including a 100% data availability guarantee and an effective storage capacity guarantee.
Hitachi Vantara Chief Product Officer Octavian Tanase said the enhancements to the platform are aimed at helping enterprises reduce downtime. Research demonstrates that downtime from cyber incidents costs global 2000 companies an estimated 9% of their combined profits annually.
“IT complexity, cyberthreats and sustainability challenges continue to put enterprises under extreme pressure,” he said. “With VSP One’s latest enhancements, we are eliminating those roadblocks by delivering a unified, automation-friendly platform with guaranteed performance, resilience and efficiency built in. This is more than just data storage — it’s a smarter, more sustainable way to manage enterprise data at scale.”
