HPE launches joint solutions with Veeam
HPE has expanded its partnership with data resilience company Veeam Software with a collaboration aimed at offering customers data backup and recovery solutions.
Under the agreement, the Veeam Data Platform will integrate with virtualisation solution HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software with the aim of providing a simplified way to protect modern applications and data. Veeam will provide image-based backup capabilities for the VM Essentials solution. The companies say users will be able to take advantage of multi-hypervisor protection, VM mobility and an up to 90% reduction in VM licence costs.
Meanwhile, the two companies have announced a global framework for data resilience by design to encourage their enterprise customers to take a holistic approach to data security and availability. The new framework includes HPE cybersecurity and cyber resilience transformation and readiness services, which are designed to collectively provide organisations with a roadmap and strategies to assess, strengthen and future-proof their data resilience posture.
HPE CTO and EVP of Hybrid Cloud Fidelma Russo said data is an organisation’s most valuable asset, which also makes it a prime target for malicious actors.
“With our deep partnership and integration, HPE and Veeam are delivering unified virtualisation and data protection that is future-ready, giving customers the resiliency and agility to evolve their hybrid IT strategy,” she said.
