Rubrik launches Security Cloud Sovereign
Rubrik has announced a solution aimed at enabling customers to maintain control of where their data resides to help meet changing data sovereignty and residency regulatory requirements.
Rubrik Security Cloud Sovereign provides global organisations with full jurisdictional control and advanced data protection capabilities. All data components, including data, metadata, control plane and management capabilities, operate within customer-designated data boundaries.
Users are also able to protect and recover workloads across on-premises, cloud and SaaS environments, ensuring that adversaries cannot delete, encrypt or alter data even when they gain elevated access. In addition, sovereign-compatible threat detection capabilities, including automated anomaly identification, can help protect data without compromising data sovereignty.
Rubrik says the solution can be deployed across both sovereign cloud providers and on-premises infrastructure. It is available now in early access for select customers, with broader availability coming soon.
Rubrik Chief Product Officer Anneka Gupta said the solution has been developed in response to feedback from customers.
“They want certainty that no foreign entity, whether government or vendor, can access or control their data,” she said. “For those managing sensitive data, sovereignty isn’t optional — it’s fundamental. Today’s announcement reinforces our commitment to helping leaders secure their posture against foreign and domestic adversaries.”
