Neat appoints new ANZ lead

Video conferencing technology company Neat has appointed Jason MacBride as its new Regional Director for ANZ, with a focus on accelerating the company’s growth across ANZ and Oceania.

MacBride joins Neat from fellow video conferencing company Poly, where he was most recently ANZ Enterprise and Government Sales Manager. He has also previously held roles at communications company Polycom, and IT services and consulting company Nexon Asia Pacific.

Norway-based Neat provides a portfolio of devices aimed at enabling customers to deliver video conferencing experiences to support hybrid work. The devices natively support Microsoft Teams, Zoom and other popular business applications. The company has to date sold over 200,000 video devices to over 12,500 customers globally.

MacBride said he plans to focus on areas including channel partner growth and gaining footholds into new industry verticals in the region.

“Energy and mining companies operate in extreme environments and there is a need for simple-to-deploy, simple-to-use and simple-to-manage video solutions like those delivered by Neat,” he said. “Our focus will be on supporting these organisations as they adapt to meet the evolving demands of their hybrid workforces. Neat devices will help them stay better connected to their employers and customers.”

Neat has already recently secured two major new customer wins, with software giant Atlassian in Australia and Hutt City Council in New Zealand.

MacBride said demand for the company’s solutions is growing as the world of work evolves.

“Companies are no longer interested in spending tens of thousands of dollars on a single ‘complex’ meeting space. As complexity is removed from the meeting room, so too is cost,” he said. “Our customers are seeing value in how we have simplified the technology — removing unnecessary cables, programming and various licenses reduces the overall cost per room, allowing customers to video-enable more rooms.”
